Ralph Higgins Obituary

Ralph Vance Higgins, Sr. GOOSE CREEK - Ralph Vance Higgins, Sr., 85, of Goose Creek, died October 13, 2010. Mr. Higgins was born in Erwin, TN on June 12, 1925, son of the late Floyd Higgins and Rosetta Hughes Higgins. Mr. Higgins retired from the US Navy after 26 years of service, and also retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Booth Higgins of Goose Creek, is survived by two sons; Ralph "Van" Higgins Jr. (Tonya) of Goose Creek, David Higgins (Mary) of Summerville; one sister, Louise Sellers of Johnson City TN. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Heather, Brittany and Jordan Higgins also one great-grandchild; Jadain Higgins. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Ralph Vance Higgins, Sr. on Saturday, October 16, 2010, 2 p.m in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Ave. A graveside services will following at 3:30 p.m, Whispering Pines Cemetery, Moncks Corner.
