Ralph Hanahan Obituary

Ralph Bailey Hanahan, Sr. JOHNS ISLAND - Ralph Bailey Hanahan, Sr., 91, of Johns Island, SC, husband of Elizabeth Hanahan, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022. Ralph was born November 23, 1930, in Walterboro, SC, son of the late Oliver Grey Minshew and Marie Hanahan Minshew. Ralph lived on Johns Island beginning at the age of three until death. He loved the Island and boating the intercoastal waterways. He was in business for himself most of his life as an owner/operator. Ralph is survived by a large and loving family and his wife, Elizabeth, of forty-two years. He has seven children, Nancy Flynn, Richard Heydrick, Robert Heydrick, Janie Hall, Grey Minshew (Anne), Zana Roberts (Carl), and Ralph Hanahan Jr. (Jenny). He also has thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Campbell, four brothers, and two sisters. Celebration of life will be held Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E, N. Charleston, SC 29418.
