Ralph Draper Obituary

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family on your loss. He was a man of great wisdom and he had a big heart. He touched so many lives in such a special way, and I am blessed that I was one of those people.

Uncle Ralph--
I just wanted to thank you for what you meant to the family. Whenever something was wrong, you were the one we called and you were always there. You are what kept us all together. You always kept everyone smiling and laughing, too. It hurt so much to see you as sick as you were and not being able to joke around like you used to. So far, Eddie has done a remarkable job of taking over your sense of humor. I know you're in a better place now and with Grandma, Grandpa and Dad. I love you and miss you terribly, but I'll see you again one day. ?Your slant-eyed rice eater

Thank you for your support while in training, your wisdom on the job, your sense of humor, your war stories, your professionalism as a Marine and as a Police Officer and for your undying friendship. May you Rest in Peace and always know you will be missed! Your tour of duty is over. Heaven can always use another good soul.

SGT Draper Family-here is a man who was fair and just in every action taken, since I knew him. So Kind and generous with a helping hand. He helped me so much while I was on North Charleston City Council. My Prayers for you in this sad time. It was my Honor to have known Sgt. Draper.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Ralph was a wonderful man and he will be greatly missed.

Eddie, You know how much we thought of Ralph! He was a great man and police officer! We will ALWAYS think of him as we have often in the past years. The family is in our thoughts and prayers. It meant the world today during the service to learn Ralph gave his soul to God and we will see him again in Heaven and what a wonderful day that will be!! Contact us if any of you need anything...even just a shoulder or ear.

Sergeant Draper was devoted to his law enforcement family. He showed it in both his instruction and in his constant humor. My condolences to his family.

Ralph was devoted to teaching for us at Low Country Safety Council. He conveyed his message with serious regard for the content while still injecting humor to reach his students. Even as his health worsened, he kept up his commitment to help others with all his energy. His contribution of time and effort from the start were instrumental in the council's success. He will be greatly missed by all.

Tara, I always respected your father for his service as a Marine, as NCPD and for how he took care of his family. I will miss the Marine on Sailor jokes. My heart and thoughts go out to your entire family.

The term "cousin" sounds so distant, but anyone knowing our family knows we are far from distant in heart as well as miles. I miss you terribly but know you haven't gone- you're only closer and with us all the time instead of some of the time. We take comfort in knowing you're in a better place with loved ones who have moved on before us; you take comfort in knowing the love of your family here take care of each other. I adore you and love you eternally.

Thank you for everything that you have done for me. You were always there whenever I needed you. Keeping me straight when I was in the Cadet Program, my teenage years, Ed's accident and my adult years. I know I would not be the person I am today without you in my life. You always said I was like a daughter to you and I always looked to you as being my Dad. You will forever be in my heart and in my soul.
To the whole Draper family, I am so very sorry for your lose. We all are better people for having had him in our lives.
