CMSgt. Ralph H. Cochran, USAF, Ret. North Charleston - CMSgt. Ralph H. Cochran, USAF, Ret., 86, of North Charleston, SC, died Thursday, October 29, 2015. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road. The family will also receive friends at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Hendersonville, NC on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with burial and military honors at 2:00 pm. Ralph was born November 16, 1928 in Union, SC, son of the late John Coleman Cochran and the late Annie Mae Greene Cochran. He retired from the Air Force after 27 years and was a Federal Civil Service employee at the Charleston Air Force Base. He was known to family and friends as a generous man, an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. One of his proudest accomplishments was taking his children to all 50 states. He is survived by four children: Terry Flynn (Glen) of Middleburg, FL, Steve D. Cochran of North Charleston, SC, Tammy Collard (Darrin) of North Charleston, SC, Roger Cochran (Jackie) of North Charleston, SC; six grandchildren: Kristy Lightbody (Thomas), Courtney Kendall (Nathan), Kyle Huston Schloegl, Roger Cochran Jr. (Samantha), Steve Cochran, Chance Cochran; four great-grandchildren: Sarah and Patrick Lightbody, Natalie and Abigail Kendall; two sisters, Doris Sineath of Summerville, SC, Margie Crawford of Anahauc, TX; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: William Coleman Cochran, Sonny Cochran, and Tommy Cochran; and a sister, Betty Jean Cochran.
