Ralph Barwick Obituary

Ralph Ryan Barwick N.CHARLESTON - Ralph Ryan Barwick, known as "PaPa" to his grandchildren, age 88, of North Charleston, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday September 4, 2014. He was born June 26, 1926 in Sumter, SC. He married Laura Ard on October 23, 1943 and served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a respected building contractor and construction company owner for over 40 years. Ralph was a member of the First Congressional Church, Walhalla Masonic Lodge No. 66 and former member of The Scottish Rite and Omar Shrine Temple. Ralph is survived by his wife of 70 years, Laura (Ard) Barwick of North Charleston; sons, Edward R. Barwick (Marty) of Columbia, Lloyd E. Barwick (Wynell) of North Charleston, and Cecil R. Barwick (Roxann) of Moncks Corner; Five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
