Ralph Baker Obituary

Ralph A. Baker SUMMERVILLE - Entered into eternal rest on the evening of February 7, 2012, Ralph Alvah Baker, husband of Joanne Genevieve Updaw Baker of Summerville, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. & Mrs. Ralph A. Baker are invited to attend his funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 1:00 pm. Interment, Dorchester Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel on Friday, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Mr. Baker was born on September 29, 1935 in Rochester, NY, the son of Ralph W. Baker and Monica C. Taggart Calahan. He was a US Marine veteran and retired from Federal Express. A special thanks to the staff of Trident Medical Critical Care Unit for their care and comfort. He is survived by three sons: Jim Brough, Todd Leary and Ralph Baker all of Rochester, NY; seven daughters: Georgeann Straight of Rochester, NY, Kristina Salvaggio of Lake Wales, FL, Renee Massaro of Palmyra, NY, Anne Craver of Rochester, NY, Jean Hess of Albion, NY, Kelly Doherty of Penfield, NY and Kimberly Clark of Acton, MA; three sisters: Irene D'Ettore of Rochester, NY, Diane Holding of Pittsburgh, PA and Margaret Griffin of FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association of SC, 409 King Street, Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29403.
