I will always love and miss for forever!!!! Not a day that goes by that I don't think of you! You will always be my baby girl, love you forever Dad.

Dear Rachel's family, I visited the Summerville cemetery today for the first time and I helped a lady find your Rachel's grave. It is evident how much she meant to you by the care that has already been taken of the grave. I wish I had been one of the lucky ones to have known her. Please know that through her story lives will be saved. God bless your angel Rachel and your family. I will be sure to stop by Rachel's grave on future visits to the cemetery. Hi,I dont know you and you dont know me,however if you go to my website Ithink you will get to know just a little about me and how I care so much about people I dont even know. My grand son Mat Saunders showed me a picture of your daughter on a Friday night and told me the story about this beautiful young girl.Ithink he wanted me to know just how fortunate I am to be a cancer survivor for the past five years.I just wish your daughter could have had a longer life but just take a few minutes and think about it ,our precious Jesus I am certain has big plans for her, she is most likely watching over the precious little Sandy Hook Angels.you know I lost my first born the next month after I did the Sandy Hook tribute and actually I thought I knew what those parents were going through but trust me little did I know until Easter morning March thirty first 2013, trust me I tell everyone it was like a knife stabbing pain going right thru my heart. Julie and family I am so sorry for your loss but happy to be able to sit here and share with you. please look up Delores saunders tribute to Sandy hook elem. school and just maybe it will cheer you up just a little. Iknow you have cried many tears just as I still am over my Son and The sandy hook angels.I also shed tears for your daughter when I saw her picture in mondays paper knowing that was the same girl my Grandson showed me on his phone. Although I did not know Rachel, I feel compelled to acknowledge her passing.I am a mother and can only imagine the loss you must feel. Although, her obiturary is written with a celebration of her life,I know you will miss her greatly. She must have been a pure blessing to have as your daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your extended family to lighten your grief and find delight in the memories.

Larry and Julie, they say time heals all but you never forget the pain for watching you child take their last breath as you are helpless to do anything to save them. I am sorry she didn't have more time after she tried so hard to hold on. She was a beautiful young woman and I know you will always be proud she was yours. Prayers for comfort for your family.

I started following Rachel's story on facebook when my own daughter Jessica asked me to. The first thing and the last thing I would do each day was look at Rachel's status. I shed many tears for this beautiful young child and her family. I being the mother of three children could never imagine what this family is going through right now. At least the pain Rachel had to endure is now gone forever! My oldest child Jessica would sometimes take Rachel home from SHS and they became good friends. To Rachel's family I pray that you find peace and comfort. Know that you have a beautiful angel smiling down on you from heaven!

I want to give my condolences to the family who has lost a kind hearted, young woman. I know exactly what they're going through, I have lost relatives due to cancer. The important thing is to remember Rachel healthy and happy . She wouldn't want everyone to be sad but hopeful that one day a cure will be found . She is smiling down and saying im alright .She is with god and will be in great hands . I began following Rachel's Team story after my daughter told me of this young lady. I would get up every morning, ready to read the updates that her mother, Julie Reynolds had posted. Julie, you're an excellent journalist. You told Rachel's story like we were all involved and felt as if we were going through the ordeal --- live. Of course, we didn't experience all of it. God love you and your family. You have witnessed so much in such a short time. Those memories cannot be erased. The good thing is that it wasn't all tragic. There were some times of joy and happiness. Rachel was able to enjoy some good times before this horrible disease took its grip. Thank you for sharing your daughter with the world. She will never be forgotten, and neither will you or your family.

Dear Family:

Such a tradegy serves us of how fragile life is and that we can never know what tomorrow will bring. The lesson for all of us in this sad moment is to appreciate the little everyday things of life. Rachel was a beautiful person inside and out - she radiated with grace and sunshine which affected so many people. I know that she is at peace. We will truly miss her.

My daughter followed Rachel's journey on Facebook and would tell me of her progress. My Grand-children played Summerville Girl's Softball and did the pink out games to show support....deepest sympathy to you and your family, we were pulling for Rachel. We have family members dealing with their own fight with cancer(which knows no strangers)My mother and sister within 3 month's dealing with breast cancer. Your writings on Facebook showed her courage and her fight. Julie, I don't know know you personally, but thank you for sharing your daughter's journey. You are a wonderful mom and I hope you and your family will be wrapped in God's arms for peace and comfort. I know you miss Rachel. The world will miss Rachel and her strength and beauty to carry on.
