Phyllis Dobson Obituary

DOBSON, Phyllis ESTILL - Mrs. Phyllis Estes Dobson, 72, of Estill, SC, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 in the Heritage Health Care Center in Estill. Born May 27, 1935 in Orangeburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Frank Estes and Sarah Griffin Estes. Mrs. Dobson had formerly worked with Wiggins and Son Hardware in Estill, O'Cain Advertising, had owned and operated a private kindergarten in Estill and had also been a teacher's aide and substitute teacher at Patrick Henry Academy. She was a member of the Estill Reading Club, the Young at Heart of Estill, was an avid bridge player and was a member and Elder at the Estill Presbyterian Church in Estill. She is survived by her husband, Corol Nelson Dobson of Estill; her son, Brigham Dobson and wife Tatiana of Charlotte, NC; her daughter, Sharon Guyton and husband Pete of Columbia, SC and her sister, Sara Munden of Myrtle Beach, SC. There are 3 grandchildren, Jesse and Jordan Guyton and Carter Dobson as well as special friends, Linda Wiggins, Rosanne Gohagen and Sollie and Betty Prince. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 11 AM in the Estill Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. Frank Sells and directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME OF HAMPTON.
