There is a big hole in the world this morning. I can not express the sorry that the news of you passing has brought to me. I am crushed to know that there is not "Phil" to rely upon. From our first days as room mates at Clemson to our last few telephone conversation, I always had Phil to advise and counsel me. I am beyond saddened. I am crushed as I remember all the times I sat thinking about our good times together; when I should have been picking up the phone and talking to you directly about those times.
The only bright spot, and it is a true beacon, is I know that I have that great big smile and a "bear" hug awaiting me in Heaven. Claire and I send all our love to your family and will continue to pray for them as they go through this difficult time.

Phil, (Bubbi) became like a brother to me when we met at the Summerville Seventh Day Adventist Church in 2002. We shared our lives together as brother and sister, spending time watching movies, enjoying Hot Wings and wonderful conversations a long with life's ups and downs, there wasn't anything that I couldn't say to Bubbi and know that it would stay between us.
Some of the wonderful things about Bubbi are the way his compassion for his fellow man/woman reflected in everyone he met.
He so loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and lived his life as if he was walking directly by His side.
I love and miss him, but know that he is in the Hands of God.
