Phillip Todd Carter HANAHAN - Friends and family of Todd are invited to attend a Service in Todd's memory at Highland Park Baptist Church in Hanahan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday February 17th. Todd Carter, 53, died on February 3rd while working in Tyler, Texas. He is the second son of the late James Carter and is survived by his Mother Carlene Carter, his brother Jeffrey Scott Carter, sister-in-law Holly Wilson Carter, and nephew Chandler Carter. Todd was a 1982 graduate of Hanahan High School where he was widely known for his talents as a multi-sport athlete. Todd was awarded the Post and Courier Athlete of the year in 1982 and attended the Baptist College from 1982 to 1986 where he was a scholarship member of the Bucs Baseball Team. As a switch hitter, Todd broke a number of hitting records as a 4 year starter for the Bucs. Todd graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Baptist College in 1986. Todd, a true car-man, was a successful salesman and finished his career working in sales for various automotive marketing companies. During this time he traveled all over the United States making friends out of customers and never met a stranger.
