Phil was my Dad´s best friend at The Palms of Mt Pleasant. They hit it off and enjoyed many stories cigars and scotch together. Dad passed May 14 2023. Now they can get back to it. Those friendships kept them going. Both minds sharp until the end. Dad was 99. Rest in peace Phil.

My mother in law was Lucy Howell. Lucy's son, Wayne, and I had the great pleasure of knowing Phil through Lucy's years at The Palms.
Lucy, or Lou as Phil called her, and Phil had a very special relationship. They became quite the pair at Happy Hour. They had their designated seats, marked by seat covers made by Phil. They were quite the comical twosome! Where you saw one you would see the other.

When our family would gather at The Palms, Phil was always part of our family dinners! He shared in family birthdays and outings. Wayne and I loved our double dates with them on many occasions! Conversations over dinner with Phil were a delight! He was an incredible man!

Lucy's granddaughters, Jayne and Joanna, her three grandchildren Jackson, Lee, and Annie and Wayne and I appreciated the joy it brought to Lucy in knowing Phil! Lucy, Wayne and Phil are in Heaven now still enjoying an eternal friendship. Thanks for the memories Phil!

We send our love to all of Phil's family.

Phil was a great golfer and a greater person. He had the best golf swing in our Tuesday/Friday Sr golf group at Snee Farm, regardless of age. He will be missed!

So sorry to hear about Phil. He was a good friend to my father, Don Williams, when Dad came to live at The Palms, not knowing a soul here in Charleston. Phil welcomed Dad, me & my husband to join him for lunch, dinner & Happy Hour! Phil had a great voice & loved to sing love songs to his dear Estelle at Happy Hour. We had some good golf discussions along the way! Farewell to a Dear Friend.

100 birthday party.

Uncle Philip was always my favorite uncle. For many years he would remind me that he was my only uncle. I will miss being able to pick up the phone and laugh with him and marvel at his wonderful life. Love to Nancy and Flip and their families.
