Peter Page Obituary

Peter Page Pete, a.k.a "Big Daddy," graduated from Cathedral High School in 1956. After graduating, he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon, who shared his life for 54 wonderful years. Pete is remembered as a kind and thoughtful father, husband and loyal friend. A passionate man, Pete lived life to the fullest, and he will be remembered for his exuberant smile and the laughter in his heart. In business, Pete was a visionary and a pioneer. In addition to creating CC&T Construction, he developed the first condominium project on Sanibel Island, Florida in the early 1970's. He continued to work as a Developer his entire life, with many projects in both Indiana and Florida. A legendary figure, in his own mind as well as the minds of others, Pete was the rock of the family, and he always had a "back up plan." In life, Pete loved spending time with his family and hosting parties on the 4th of July. His fireworks display had to be seen to be believed. It was his favorite holiday. It is only fitting that we remember him and honor him at this time of year. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sharon; his three children, Colleen, Christopher and Tony; his 7 grandchildren, Amy Knerr, Cory Frutiger, Michael Page, Peter Knerr, Dylan Page, Alexander Couch and Cody Page and 3 great-grandchildren, Payton Page, Maddox Frutiger and Mason Page; his brothers, Paul and David, his sisters Marie (Pittman-Oechsle) and Antoinette (Dullaghan) and his many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, July 4, 2011 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens Street, Indianapolis, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m. A prayer service will be held the following day, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with the family at orileyfuneralhome.com.
