Perline Cribb Obituary

CRIBB, Perline HEMINGWAY - Perline Singleton Cribb, 81, widow of Thomas Ralph Cribb, died Tuesday in a Georgetown hospital. Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Thursday, in Center Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by MORRIS FUNERAL HOME. Mrs. Cribb was born in Conway, a daughter of Clyde and Maybelle Hardee Singleton. She was a member of Center Baptist and was a 1944 graduate of Conway High School where she was valedictorian of her class and a member of the National Honor Society. She retired from Wellman, Inc. Survivors include her children, Thomas Larue Cribb and Dennis Ralph Cribb, of Hemingway; Jeanette (Laverne) Britt, Janis (Johnny) Whitnauer, and Carol Ann (Jay) Ward, all of Georgetown, her siblings, Oneta Ward of Trio, Eloise Foxworth and Billy Singleton, both of Pawley's Island, Mary Grace Burkett and Evelyeen Cordray, both of Georgetown, her grandchildren, Jamie and John Hewitt, Wanda Bordeaux, Jennifer, Ricky, and Billy Whitnauer, Roy Hartley, and Denise Parker; 11 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by Henry Singleton, Lloyd Singleton, Eugene Singleton, and Lucille Thompson. Visit our guestbook at www.charleston.net/deaths.
