Peggy Nelms Richardson MT. PLEASANT - Peggy Nelms Richardson, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 5, 2016. She was born on February 1, 1948 in Charleston, SC to the late Mrs. Mary Nelms and the late Mr. Charlie Nelms. Peggy was a graduate of Bishop England High School, and was retired from a very successful, lifelong career in the Mortgage industry. She is survived by her loving son, Clay Richardson, of Johns Island, SC (Pam Saunders); and the remaining trio of the Nelms sisters, Carol Gordon (John), Joyce Lowe (David Garrison), two brothers, Michael Nelms and Christopher Nelms (Chrisi Blyth), all of Charleston, SC; nephews, Scott Welch; Todd Welch, Brad Lowe, Keegan Nelms and nieces Kerry Armstrong and Arial Hudler and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews who she spoiled and loved as her own. She was predeceased by her loving parents and brother, Charlie Nelms, Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lowndes Grove Plantation on Friday, September 16th, 2016 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Champagne toast to her life at sunset. Peggy entered this world with grace and style and she departed this world with grace and style. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Charleston and Pattison's Dream Academy.
