Pauline Mixon Brown Summerville - Pauline Mixon Brown, 93, passed away August 19, 2015 at White Oaks Manor. Pauline was born in Olanta, SC, to the late Paul Bethea and Florence Elma Hill Mixon. Pauline was preceded in death by four brothers, Hill Mixon, Wallace Mixon, Lloyd Mixon, and Wimberly Mixon; and four sisters, Johnnie Youmans, Lula Miller Williams, Inez Green and Ethelene Timmons Lyerly (Twin). Pauline is survived by 2 daughters, Ginger Opatsky (Joe) and Paulette Mahaffey (John), 1 son, Jimmy Brown (Leigh), 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, all of Summerville, SC, and 1 brother, Donald Mixon of Olanta, SC. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday morning, August 22, 2015 at Old Fort Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Fort Baptist Church CIFC, 10505 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485. We are going to miss Mrs. Brown, the laughter and personal entertainment she provided with her funny nose, glasses/mustache. Our prayers are with you Ms. Ginger and Mr. Jimmy. She will never be forgotten!! Ashley Hall and The White Oak Manor family.
