Paula Carpenter Obituary

Paula Marie Carpenter SUMMERVILLE - Paula Marie Carpenter, who was born on September 10, 1963, in the lovely city of Honolulu, Hawaii, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at the age of 61 in Summerville, SC. While her story started in paradise, it was in Summerville that she truly left her legacy, leading a life rich in love, laughter, family, and friends. Paula was a proud graduate of Summerville High School and a cancer survivor; however, her most significant joys stemmed from her roles as a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and a social person who cherished spending time with friends and family. Paula is the daughter of deceased John Ward, sister of the deceased Christopher Ward. She is survived by her husband, Michael Carpenter; daughters, Gillian Lucas and Amanda Hodge; stepdaughter, Kaitlyn Cockrell; eight grandchildren; her mother, Malissa Ward; her sisters, Valerie Fantino and Marcia Mack. A mass will be said at St. Theresa's Catholic Church on Dorchester Road, Summerville on June 20th at 11:30 AM followed by a drop in of friends and family to console one another from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
