I was in The Army with Paul, in Ft. Monmouth, NJ. In Da Nang, Viet Nam and again at Fort Ord, Hunter Liggett Military Reservation in California. We connected again twice after we got out of the service and I learned in '78 that he had reenlisted at the request of his father. We went on our separate ways and I had thought of him time and again. My next connection was reading of his passing in 2008. Talented, funny and a good friend. I'm sorry that his life ended at a young age but smile knowing he has friends and family who completed his life. Rest In Peace, MSGT Sanders.

We were saddened to learn of Butch's passing last week. May your happy memories sustain you and give you strength during this time. May God hold you in the palm of His hand until you all are reunited again.
You shall remain in our prayers.

With Deepest sympathy.

Billie, I just read about Mr. Sanders. What memories this brings back when I remember all the years you lived next door to my Mom and Dad. You were the very best of neighbors and they both loved you and Mr. Sanders. I hope they are now reunited and can laugh about all the things that happened on Risher Street.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Shelia and the entire Sanders family during this very difficult time. Butch and I were high school friends and musicians. He will be missed, but always remembered.
