Paul Royse Obituary

Paul E. Royse GOOSE CREEK - Paul E. Royse, 85, of Goose Creek, the husband of Fayetta M. Royse, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Born April 24, 1925, in Fullerton, Kentucky; he was the son of the late Cella Royse and Florence Alderman Royse. Paul was a proud WWII veteran of the US Navy and served on the USS Lexington. He was a member of Chaparral Baptist Church in Moncks Corner. Paul was the past president of the Berkeley Senior Center in Goose Creek and a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Royse and brother Roy Royse. Paul is survived by his wife of 64 years Fayetta; two sons: Gary Royse (Joan) of Chesapeake, VA and Wayne Royse (Christine) of Waterford, VA; a daughter: Paula Bodner (Jack) of Goose Creek; sister: Ruby Booten; twelve grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2010, in the chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Evergreen Memorial Estates, 5971 Dudley Road, Grifton, NC. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter Lowcountry Region, 2090 Executive Hall Road Charleston, SC 29407. I knew Paul from when I worked at Walmart he alway's joked with me I loved when he would come in the store he was a very nice and funny person.My thought's and prayers are with his family I know he will be missed.
