Erin and Louis, it has been far too long since I have seen you two. I am deeply saddened by the passing of your parents and send you my condolence. Emmett was the funniest person that I have ever known. He would keep me in stitches whenever I was around him. Pat would always wryly smile and roll her eyes at his constant banter. They were always generous with their time, and made me feel welcome whenever I visited Charleston. Emmett loved to take me out on his boat and show me everything new that was happening in the harbor. Pat always had refreshments out waiting for us when we returned. I will really miss them.

We will always hold a special place in our hearts for Emmett and Pat. Our sweet daughter-in-law Erin has her mother's beauty and her dad's easy going personality. The legacy of the Jarvis family will live on through Louis and Erin and the precious granddaughters. May God Bless this family with peace in their hearts.

Emmett was a great guy who had a very kind heart for others and shared the Jarvis wit. Emmett lightened up most every conversation even in tough times. I had the pleasure of knowing the entire family and working with his father, him and his brothers and Joy at "The Other Telephone Company". I have many fond memories of those days. They were and are a great family and I care deeply for all of them. Even with a family of such strong personalities Emmett made his own unique mark. It has indeed been an honor to have known him.

Erin and Louis, we are so sad to read about your Dad. Our time with you all on Schweers was golden. I missed your Mom so much after you all moved - well, I still do. She was a rare woman and I was fortunate to have known her, think of her on her birthday, when I occasionally tackle a Russian novel, or try a new recipe. Please know the Fitz´s continue to hold you in our hearts and in our prayers. Eva
