Paul Economy Obituary

ECONOMY, Paul FLORENCE, SC - Paul John Economy, 81, of Florence, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at his residence after an illness. He was born in Beaufort, SC a son of the late John Paul and Xanthippi Coclin Economy. He is a Class of 1948 graduate from the Citadel. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, a Mason and a Shriner. He was the owner/operator of the P & M Restaurant. He was a member of the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church where he served on several Parish Councils and Projects. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, John Paul Economy. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Psirakos Economy of the home; son, Dr. George Economy and his wife, Athena, of Florence; grandchildren, Phyllis Economy and Paul Economy, both of Florence; sister, Mary Economy of Beaufort, SC; nephew, Robert M. Forbes of Florence and niece, Daphne Lewis of Westport, CT. Memorials may be made to the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church, 2990 S. Cashua Drive, Florence, SC 29501. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 26, 2007 at the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery directed by STOUDENMIRE-DOWLING FUNERAL HOME.
