Patrick "Rick" Janney Summerville - Patrick "Rick" Charles Janney, 64, husband of the late Katherine "Kathy" Janney, of Summerville, SC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel at 2 o'clock. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon at Parks Funeral Home from 3 - 5 o'clock. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children. Rick was born on April 13, 1956 in New London, CT, a son of the late Donald "Don" M. Janney and Eva Shattuck and Trevor Shattuck of Summerville. He previously worked at the Naval Shipyard as a diver. He was the owner of Janney Construction. His children and grandchildren were his heart! Rick was known for making you laugh and having a good time. Survivors include his two sons, Donald "Don" P. Janney and wife, Melissa, Kyle L. Janney and wife, Rebecca; one daughter, Chelsea J. Matthews and husband, Ryan, all of Summerville; six beautiful grandchildren, Millie Jean Janney, Ellison C. Matthews, Sawyer P. Janney, McCrea L. Janney, Macie Jean Matthews and Lanie Katherine Matthews; his mother, Eva Shattuck and his step-father, Trevor Shattuck; one brother, Jeff Janney and wife, Renee; four sisters, Kathy Fried and husband Dick, Colleen Creech, Cindy Lockey and husband Henry and Rebecca Tweed and husband, Buddy and several nieces and nephews. Rick was predeceased recently by the love of his life, Kathy, and his father, Don Janney.
