Mr and Mrs. Boynton,
My name is Karen Hames, I am Kellie Corbett's Aunt. I rememeber the first time I met Patrick, the 5th grade graduation, his smile was beautiful. Patrick was like one of the family for so many years. He was always happy and such a funny young man. Both my boys loved when he would come over and play games or swim in the pool at Folly. My little one loved to play with Patrick in the pool and Patrick always paid lots of attention to him. Patrick was so special to us all and will never be forgotten. I continue to pray for your comfort and peace from our Lord in Heaven. Sincerely,
Karen Hames

I was so sad when I heard the news. Pat was such a great friend to me at ECU. He was like a big brother to all of us girls. He always protected us and made us smile. I will never forget those memories we shared.

Such a sad time in your lives. Been thinking and wishing there was something we could do to take the sting away but not even time can mend all sorrow.
Take it from someone that knows, remembering the good times will help after the initial numb wears off. Allow well meaning friends to comfort you for they are hurting too.

Was just informed of the sad news of your precious Patrick's passing. While my heart aches for you all, I am so grateful to God and your family for sharing Patrick with me and all who loved him. Words cannot describe the sympathy I have for you and your family. Patrick was one of the most loving people I've ever met. Always smiling, never complaining, and would always be willing to help if someone else was in need no matter what. He was just a joy to be around and so good at uplifting spirits and making sure everyone around was as happy as he was. He will be missed but right now he's sharing that infectious smile with others in heaven. I pray that God will give the family a peace of knowing he will never feel pain again and he is in a much greater place and this is not goodbye, it's see you later. God bless you and your family.

Dear Marty, Meri, Martin and Laura,
We are so very sorry to hear about your loss. I was quite upset when I saw Patrick's name in the paper. I have watched a lot baseball and softball over the years, but one of the highlights was to watch Patrick run the bases fearlessly (or foolishly). We are thinking about you guys and let us know if there is anything we can ever do to help.

Patrick was the first "Best" friend my son had in 4K. Wesley would talk about his friend Patrick all the time. I only wish they had been able to keep their friendship close after elementary school. Please know that your family is in our prayers. May God wrap his arms around you and comfort you during this time.

You were the best friend a girl could have asked for and I have so many fond memories with you. You will always be on my mind and in my heart. I will never forget you or the light and happiness that you brought when you were around. You are the best person I knew and I wish I would have had the opportunity to tell you before this terrible accident. My heart is with you and your family and I hope that you are watching over knowing that I am thinking of you and smiling at all of the wonderful things we did together and all of the experiences and lessons that we learned. You were truly a remarkable person and you will never be forgotten. The world will not be the same without you here and either will my life. Thank you for all of the times we shared and all of the times you were there, you and your friendship were greatly appreciated by me and by many others. May you rest in peace and know that you were loved very much and will always be missed. XO
