As a child, I lived with my family in Islandton, SC. I always looked forward to the days when my family would go to Charleston to visit the Joneses. (My daddy Heyward Murdaugh, and Mr. George had become friends while working together.) Trisha became a friend, and I loved her attention. We did not stay in close contact over the years, but she remained one of the loveliest people, inside and out, that I have ever known

Pat was the one who taught me the love of feeding children. Because of her I finished my education and became a Child Nutrition Director in NC. I was blessed to follow her footsteps as Director in Berkeley county and every decision I made was based on " what´s best for the child". Pat lived by that question and I will forever be grateful for her leadership, friendship but most of all her love for children in need.
I´m so grateful the Lord put Pat in my life . I can still see that smile and wink!

Pat was a beloved friend and school nutrition colleague. She was passionate about child nutrition and helped so many of us as we entered into child nutrition as leaders/directors. Such a fun, loving person who enjoyed life, helping others and never a dull moment with Pat. I will forever cherish the memories. Rest in peace my dear friend!!!!

Dear Family ,
Pat was loved and admired by many. She worked tirelessly for boys and girls and for the welfare of her staff. I am blessed to have known her.
Her legacy lives on in those she influenced to make a difference.
May God be with you at this difficult time.

Robin and family,
I had the pleasure and honor of working with Pat for many years through her leadership positions with the School Nutrition Association of SC and the SC Purchasing Alliance.
Her dedication to child nutrition programs and serving the children of this state was only surpassed by her sense of humor and infectious laughter she shared freely with those of us who were fortunate enough to know her. She was definitely one of a kind!
Please know that y'all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Robin,
I can't begin to tell you how honored and blessed I was to have worked with Pat for so many years in Dorchester District 4. She was such a sweet lady and was so devoted to her job. We had opportunities to talk about our families. There was no doubt how much she loved her family and would talk about you and her granddaughters with such love and pride. And she loved her son-in-law as well. I have so many memories from our years working together. Please know that you and all of your family are in our prayers. I can only imagine all of the wonderful memories that you have of her. Those memories will continue to bring you happiness during this time and in the future. May God continue to bless each of you during this time.

Robin,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I worked at the district level with Mrs. Truett in Dorchester School District Four for numerous years, and I often appreciated her candor and inspiring personality. She was always willing to help me do whatever needed to be done, and I will forever appreciate her for that. It is my prayer that God will provide you and your family with the comfort, peace, and strength you need today and during the difficult days ahead.

Robin, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a mentor to me when I started teaching at Men-Riv. She supported and helped me.
When I was expecting my daughter, my due date was Dec. 9. Your mom told me to have the baby on her
birthday, Dec. 13 and I did. I called her from the hospital that night to tell her.
Pat was a special person and I'm thankful she was my friend. She will be missed.
