Patricia Trego Obituary

Patricia Ann Trego SILVER SPRING, MD - Patricia Ann Trego, 72, of Summerville, SC and Silver Spring, MD passed away Monday, October 25 at Washington Hospital Center of complications due to congestive heart failure. Patricia was born in Washington, D.C., on November 9, 1937, to Mildred Faber and John Cooke. Patricia's greatest love was her family. She married Eugene Ira Trego in 1962 and enjoyed raising her five children as a Navy family, living in various states and in Spain and finally settling in Summerville, SC where they lived for 30 years. They moved to Silver Spring, MD, in 2010. Pat loved life and deeply cherished her Catholic Faith, her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her giving and accepting nature, and her generous soul. She had a great passion for cooking and baking and making delicious treats for others. Her loving and giving spirit will live on within each one of us and all those she touched. Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Eugene Ira Trego, of Silver Spring, MD her five children, Alan E. Trego and wife Debbie, of Charleston, SC, Cheryl P. Fortin and husband Peter of Jefferson City, TN, John H. Trego and Donna Davis Trego of Charleston, SC, Katherine M. Trego and partner Cara Dysert of Silver Spring, MD and David N. Trego and wife Shawn of Greensboro, NC. Also survived by ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and siblings Barbara L. Smith, Delores Reynolds, Rose Marie Hammond, Harry M. Faber, Jacqueline Presley, Marsha Petersburger and Annie Izetta Loesberg. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Michael Faber and Murray Stephen Faber. Relatives and friends may call at Francis J. Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, October 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. A Memorial Mass for all family and friends will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave., Summerville South Carolina on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at 9 a.m. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
