Patricia Sabatino Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Patricia Sabatino, who departed this life peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the age of 79. A vibrant and passionate woman, Patricia was a longtime educator, world traveler, and cherished member of every community she called home. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, to the late Mario and Theresa Sabatino (née Cornell), Patricia dedicated her life to learning and teaching. She spent many years as a high school social studies teacher and later served as an elementary school principal in Lyndhurst, NJ, where she touched the lives of countless students, colleagues, and families with her dedication, warmth, and leadership. Patricia lived a life full of color and adventure. She had a deep love for travel, especially to Europe, and delighted in collecting beautiful artwork from around the world. Cruises brought her immense joy, and in her younger years, she was an avid golfer who embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm and grace. Throughout her life, Patricia called several places home including Fort Myers Beach, Florida, and upstate New York-before settling in Summerville, South Carolina, where she spent her later years. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Jack Sabatino; her dear friend, Norma Crawford; and her cherished parents and grandmother, Mary Cornell. A Visitation will be held at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave, Summerville, SC, on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. The Committal Service will take place on Thursday, July 31st, 2025, at 10:00 am, at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC. Patricia's life was one of curiosity, kindness, and joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
