Patricia Pierce Obituary

Patricia Ann Moore Pierce FOLLY BEACH - Patricia Ann Moore Pierce went home to be with God on the afternoon of May 26, 2010. She was the widow of Jerry Thomas Pierce, Sr. Residence, Folly Beach, SC. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Patricia Ann Moore Pierce are invited to attend her funeral services Saturday, May 29, 2010 at eleven o'clock in Folly Beach United Methodist Church. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Friday between five and seven o'clock. Mrs. Pierce was born March 17, 1933 in Atlantic City, NJ, the daughter of Charles Walton Moore and Anna Frances Moore. She retired in March of 2000 after 24 years of active service as a dispatcher with the Folly Beach Public Safety Department. She is survived by seven daughters: Kathy P. Blair (Carlton) of North Charleston, SC, Sharon P. Counce (Bill) of Seffner, Fl, Janice P. Benson of Jacksonville, FL, Linda P. Hames (Gilbert) of James Island, SC, Lisa P. Barker (Taylor) of Jacksonville, FL, Karen P. Hames (Chris) of James Island, SC and Kim P. Corbett (Robert) of James Island, SC; two sons: Jerry T. Pierce, Jr. (Tracy) of Folly Beach, SC and Jeffery T. Pierce of Charleston, SC; 23 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jace and Jamie Pierce and her sister, Christine Marks. Mom, you set a great example for all of your children. We love you and will miss you. Pat was an amazing woman and loved her family very much. She always had a smile and a kind word for all and knew no strangers. She will be greatly missed by many. Pat is in the loving arms of her husband, Jerry. "We live by faith, not by sight", 2 Corinthians 5:7. I am so sorry for the loss you are all enduring. Mrs. Pierce was loved by and touched the lives of many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. So sorry I couldn't be there to help out in her final days!!!!!! If there's ANYTHING I can do, let me know. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. She is finally with the love of her life again, and she'll be watching over you until you see her again!
