Sweet Pat. Pat taught me such a great lesson a while back. I was walking down the hall of our Keller Williams office feeling down about somthing so trivial now I don't even remember what it was. At the end of the hall was Pat, greeting me with a smile and a hug, wanting to know why there was such a cloud over my head. If that didn't wake me up!
Pat's attitude gave me a perspective on life that has lasted me to this day. Thank you Pat and God bless you. I'll never forget your smile.

Hey, Bill & family,
It's because of Pat that my mom is here in Mount Pleasant now. I asked her to help us find a place, and she did. She did everything with zeal and love, and we are better for having known her. She's now singing, "Better is day in Your courts than thousands elsewhere!" We'll be singing it with her one day.

My dearest Pat,
I was thinking about you today as I worshipped at church. We sang "How Great is Our God" and I could just remember standing beside you at church and singing. I prayed so faithfully that our faithful God would heal you. I always admired your faith in our precious Lord. It was always so real and present at all times. I will always tresure our last few phone chats. You never gave up hope. I have continued to pray for your dear unspoken. I can just hear you say "Oh God will answer it." I can just see your sweet smile at church each Sunday and Wednesday night. When we received word that the family had been called in last week I changed my prayers for you. I started to pray and ask our sweet Lord to make your homecoming so special. I can just see you as your appraoched our sweet Jesus. I can just see your smile as your eyes met our Saviour's eyes. They always had a ####### in them but I can only imagine how they were dancing as your were ushered into the presence our faithful Lord. I told Craig that a true treasure has left earth and Heaven has the pleasure of another treasure. I can never express in words the exact feeling I have for you. You were a true friend. I always appreciated the sweet way you would bring me to my senses and the kind words that you always had for me. I can only imagine how much fun you must be having in Heaven as you sing and dance with our sweet Justin. I must say I am a little jealous. You had the best of both worlds. I will always remember how your sweet family stuck by your side. I have prayed so faithful for your Bill and sweet daughter as they cared for you. You had a great time here on earth and now look where you are. You would make me laugh just at the right time and give me that hug that meant the world. Craig and I would always joke about what it would be like to have a church full of Pat Hites. It would be heaven on earth. Yes, we lost a treasure here on earth. I am sure you have had a grand reunion with many in heaven. I can just see your sweet mother rejoice as you entered God's throne. I can't wait to hear all about your homecoming when we meet again. Pat, you were what Jesus wants us all to be, MORE LIKE HIM. Congratuations!! You have fought the fight, won the battle and now you smile, sing, love, dance and enjoy Jesus. You are there. I will close with the image of Jesus calling you home. I can just hear Jesus saying "Come to Jesus" and I can just see you running with that great big smile on your face. (I am sure you were wearing Carolina Blue.) Wow! You made it. lots of love forever!!!!!

Pat,
You and your husband were a neat couple. You always seemed youthful no matter what your age. As your pastor for somewhere around ten years I can say that if all church members where like you, think of the good a church could do. You were always so full of life and nothing including your cancer seemed to get you down. Jeanette and I both loved you dearly. We will look forward to seeing you in heaven. You are an awesome person.
