Dear Richard,
Roan Garcia sent me an email about Patricia's passing, and I just received it today. I was saddened to hear the news. Joy and I send our condolences, and our prayers to you, your family and your children. I well remember the first time I met you and Patricia in the NIE office in Washington, DC. Patricia had the biggest smile, and from that day forward we were friends. We worked together in different capacities in the Reagan Administration, and I will never forget her kindness to me during some rather challenging times during our tenure with President Reagan. I know, without a doubt, that and the life spent caring for her family and others has made a powerful impact on this world....I am a beneficiary too. God bless you and your children.

Dear Richard, Wills and Kathleen:
We were so saddened by the news of the death of Patricia. We all loved her very much and know that you will miss her terribly. She was so good to Aubrey, Bailey, and I. Aubrey and I shared several meals with her in Rome and our time with her and Kathleen and Wills will be cherished even more now She thoughtfully called about Bailey and Aubrey in their time in school in Charleston, and each call was kind and charitable. We appreciated her time more than you know. As you know, she was a special, special person and she will be missed here on earth. The blessing is that you will see her again! Write down your memories!
(from Lisa, Bill, Aubrey, Bailey and Louisa)

Dear Richard, Wills and Kathleen,
Patricia was the sister I never had. She gave of herself to everyone. She will be forever missed. I had known her for 30 years and she has helped and touched so many lives as no other person that I have known. She led by example. In my eyes, she was a guardian angel to many. She always saw the good in every single person with whom she dealt. And she was a great mother, giving it all to her two children.
May God grant you three the fortitude that you need during these difficult times. There is no doubt that she is in heaven and she will be looking after Wills and Kathleen from there.
I thank God that I came to know her. I will never forget Patricia.
