Mom:

Your Miami friends send you greetings from here--especially Gilberto, Danny, Manny and all of the Hereford singers.

Likewise, Caridad, Ignacio, Nico and Isa also send you fond greetings.

We'll hold your memorial service here at the Barry University Chapel. Without a doubt, you were the best friend that anyone could ever have had. You always made a difference regardless of how long anyone knew you.

You'll be pleased to know that memorial booklets will be distributed in honor of Toby (Rev. Joseph H. Flood) and you next month.

I am Aunt Pat's great-niece from Nell I really loved her so very much and she will be missed for the rest of my life. I remember a time in my life, when I was a child growing up with my cousins, we were in the backyard playing and having so much fun that I scream and Aunt Pat thought something bad had happened to me. But when she realized I was alright she wanted to ring my meck for scaring her so bad. I will miss her so much and love her forever. I told her a couple months ago that I would see her when I came down for my vacation she said that she wanted me to come back home.

Love forever

To all of the family of Patricia Flood, I pray that the heaviness in your heart will be lessened, with each passing day. My arms are wrapped around each and every one of you today. May God continue to comfort you.

I had the pleasure of knowing Pat for over 36 years and never remember her being cross to anyone. She was a wonderful woman. I was fortunate enough to attend Ruth Orvin Christian School (in downtown Charleston), when she and the late Rev. Joseph H. Flood Sr. were operating the school. I have many fond memories of the several months I attended.

Pat & I shared a special day together. In 1975, my husband and I were married on Pat's birthday. She & Rev. Flood attend our services in North Carolina. When I returned to the area on vacations, I would try to visit her or call and talk to her. She always knew who I was :)

She will always hold a special place in my heart, as does Mr. Flood and all of their sons. My sister Pam, is married to Joe.

Again, my sympathy abounds you all. May God continue to bless each and everyone of you!

With Sincere Sympathy,

Linda (Floyd) Short

I only had the privilege of meeting 'Aunt' Pat once. I went with Nell and Faye on one of their whirlwind family history tours and got to spend some time with this amazing lady. In the short time that I was able to spend with her, I understood that two of Aunt Pat's great loves were her family, and the Lord. Aunt Pat insisted that I pray with her before I left and I was honored to do so. I know that she is with Jesus today.
