Patricia Davis Obituary

Patricia W. Davis SUMMERVILLE - Patricia Whitaker Davis, of Summerville, passed away after a short illness in the early hours of Thursday, February 25th and leaves a hole in the lives of all that knew her. She was born February 23, 1948 to Thomas L. Whitaker and Dorothy Belk Whitaker in Florence, SC and had a wonderful 73rd birthday on Tuesday. Trisha was the epitome of a loving kindergarten teacher whose limitless love, generosity and kindness touched everyone she knew. She was a happy person whose laughter filled the room. She is survived by her husband, Charles C. Davis; daughters, Lee Davis Tyler and Sally Davis Brown; her brother, Dr. Thomas A. Whitaker of Myrtle Beach; sons-in-law, Jamie R. Tyler and Lt. Col. Chris A. Brown USA; and grandchildren, Thomas R. Tyler, Ellison A. Tyler, Michael T. Brown, and Matthew A. Brown, whom she loved with all her heart, along with friends from Winthrop College, Friendship Circle Sunday School Class and from growing up in Florence, SC. Patricia was my first cousin on the Belk side of my family. I have many wonderful memories of our times together at Christmas in Darlington at our grandparents home. She was always so sweet and my memories will last forever.
