Patricia Burney Obituary

Patricia B. Burney MONCKS CORNER - Patricia "Patty" Burbage Burney, 37, of Moncks Corner, SC, a former licensed practical nurse at the Deland Hospital in Deland, Fl, died Saturday afternoon at her residence. Her funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, July 21, 2010, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Tuesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America. Patty was born April 16, 1973, in Charleston, SC, a daughter of Roger D. Burbage and Pamela Drake Burbage. She was a graduate of Stratford High School, attended USC, received her BS in Biology from the College of Charleston, and graduated from Trident Technical College's nursing school. She was formerly "Miss Summerville" and was a contestant in the "Miss South Carolina" pageant. Patty was a former nurse at Magnolia Manor and Heartland Health Care, and she loved caring for her children and family. Surviving are, her husband, J. Lee Burney; a daughter, Hunter Lee Burney of Moncks Corner; two sons, Jordan Lane Burney and Jared Luke Burney both of Moncks Corner; her father and step mother, Rolynn, of N. Charleston; two step sisters, Sarah Harris and Anna Newsom both of N. Charleston; a step brother, David Stone of N. Charleston; and her grandparents, Patricia S. Drake of N. Our adopted daughter/sister is who she was to Momma Beas family!! Sweet, caring and giving....would do anything for any of us anytime we asked or needed.
