Pamela Bunch Obituary

Pamela A. Bunch BAMBERG, SC - Pamela A. Bunch, 56, of Bamberg, SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Pamela was born on June 12, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Lakeview High School in Cortland, Ohio and Choffin School of Practical Nursing in Youngstown, Ohio. Pam was last employed at St. George Health Care where she worked as an LPN. She also worked for 15 years at the Bamberg Nursing Center where she was loved by the residents, families and co-workers. She enjoyed being involved in the Eden alternative program of which she gave free hours and caring for the facilities' animals. She was known for her side kick, her poodle Chip, who also spent his days at the nursing home. She was really dedicated to the home and made several donations to raise funds for the Nursing Home. Always having a passion for horses she worked with race horses before becoming an LPN. She traveled from Ohio to Florida and Kentucky and spent numerous volunteer hours in Ohio as a 4H advisor where among other things she spent her yearly vacation with thirteen children and their horses at the county fair. She showed successfully at times, rode in parades and sponsored benefit rides. But her true joy was trail riding of which she received saddle logging awards. Her other hobby included playing her organ. She loved the beach and last but not least she loved her family and her church family. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Green, and husband Del, of Orangeburg, SC, three grandchildren; Katherine, Delbert and Jimmy. A sister Judy Morey Huston, of Chesterland, Ohio, nieces and nephews and her beloved pets Chip and Boots. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Bunch, a brother, Larry Morey, of Carlsbad, CA, and her parents Donald Foster Morey and Marcella Burtsfield Morey. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Branchville Christian Church, 6907 Freedom Road, Branchville, SC, at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Southend Cemetery in Bamberg, SC. The family will receive friends, Monday, June 21, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Branchville Christian Church. Memorial donations may be sent to Palmetto Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1123 Bamberg, SC 29003, or World Vision. The Bunch Family is being served by McALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Charleston, SC. Condolences may be sent via www.mcalister-smith.com. My heart is saddened as Pam gave my son Jacob the best care anyone could for the first 2 years of us living here in south carolina, Pam became family and friend. But what is of joy I know she was saved and is with Jesus Our Lord.

I didn't know Pam personally but I know her daughter Crystal. If Crystal is any indication of who her mother was then she must have been a very special lady indeed. Her spirit will live on in all that knew her and especially in her precious daughter and grandchildren. Pam enjoy the peaceful trail rides in God's heavenly pastures!! Peace be with you!
