To my dearest and very close friend, we were as close or closer than sisters. The pain of loosing you here on earth is unspeakable. You are one of the most genuine, kind, loving and giving women I ever knew. You always told me that you learned a lot from me, well I learned a lot and even more from you. Your presence with me on earth is missed beyond words and to reunite with you in our eternal life is what I cherish and hold dear now. Owonda you are the best. With my love and gratitude to have been a part of your life. JoAnn

many years ago, I worked with the Transplant Surgery Staff at MUSC. I recall the physicians and other staff speaking very highly of Owonda. She had a spark and was an inspiration to many. I was sad to hear of her passing.

I knew Owanda as a boy. She, Ellen and I were inseparable for several years until Ellen's tragic death. I watched her struggle with her kidneys all the while pursuing a happy life. I saw her marry and find peace in the woods of Huger and I moved away. She was a comfort and a joy all the years I knew her. I mourn in your loss and the loss to us all as the world lost an asset to us all.
