We are so sorry for the loss of this wise and gentle man both for his family and the patients he treated. Words cannot begin to say what Dr. Shoemaker meant to his "family" in the Youth Division and the Department of Psychiatry at MUSC. He will be greatly missed by his family, colleagues, and patients and our thoughts and warm feelings go out to his wife and family during this difficult time.
