Otis Washington, Jr. JAMES ISLAND - In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Otis Washington, Jr., 71, of Charleston, SC (James Island), who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, November 30, 2016 at a local hospice center. He is the beloved husband of Mrs. Geneva Gaillard Washington of James Island; the devoted father of Otis Washington, III, Lamar Washington (Tracy), Michelle W. Singleton (CPT Bobby) and Kimberly Riley; he is the grandfather of four grandchildren; and the brother of Gladys W. Campbell (the late David "Bopeep" Campbell, Jr.) Bertie Marshall (Albert) and Leon Washington (Loretta). The relatives and friends of Mr. Washington and those of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends are all invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Monday, December 5, 2016, 11:00AM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2416 Meeting Street Rd., North Charleston, SC. Interment: Riverview Memorial Park, North Charleston, SC. Mr. Washington will repose at the church Monday from 10:00AM until the hour of service. A public viewing well be held this evening (Sunday) at Mt. Olive Baptist Church from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
