You kept the WW2 stories and memories alive so people would learn about what really happened when these brave bomber crews took to the heavens to help win the war. I so appreciate what you did personally to help and guide my Uncle Tony Kuhn through some very trying times in the South Pacific when he was shot down. I thank you for the 13-year friendship and research we shared.
I learned so much from you. Rest in peace Oscar and enjoy reuniting with Tony, Bob Houser and the rest of your outstanding B-24 crew and most of all...Ruth.

My father, Bob Houser, was Oscar's co-pilot and when my dad died in 2013 Oscar was the first person I called. Since that day in June, he and I talked to each other at least once a month. He was a strong connection to my dad and told me several stories of their war experiences in the Pacific.
In October of 2018, Oscar and I went to the United States Air Force Academy for a very special presentation of a beautiful oil painting he donated to the Academy. He was treated like the hero he was and it was a thrill to hear some 4,300 cadets cheering for him in Mitchell Hall. Please check YouTube: Lt. Colonel Fitzhenry at USAFA 10-22-2018.
I will always remember our conversations and his generosity and his deep faith. He has been reunited with his lovely Ruth and all his crewmates of Scootin' Thunder with my dad waiting to greet him in heaven.
Rest in Peace dear friend...love, Beth Houser
