OLLIMORE BESS Obituary

Ollimore Bess CORONA, NY - Ollimore Bess of Corona, NY, died on February 8, 2014 at a rehabilitation center, where he went to recover from surgery. Ollimore was born on February 5, 1938 to the late Eugene and Lauretta Bess of Huger, S.C. He attend and graduated from the Berkeley County School District and went to New York to find work. He worked at a couple of short-term jobs before he found his way to Flushing Hospital and worked a few years in the hospital kitchen before he found his passion working in the Pathology Lab and retired after 51 years. Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years Mirai; one daughter, Lisa Ann; three sisters, Joella Mitchell of Jamaica, NY, Theresa (Sonny) Parker of Brentwood, NY, and Patricia (James) Byrd of Connecticut; two brothers, Nathaniel and John (Shirley) Bess of Huger, SC; one sister-in-law, Annie Mae Bess of Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers, Annie Jean, Lloyd & Daniel; one brother-in-law, James Mitchell.
