Oliver Roy Nelson

Oliver Roy Nelson, 87, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his home in Yakima, Washington.
He was born December 27, 1924 to Chris and Christina Nelson, in Kirkland, Washington. He grew up on a dairy farm near Phantom Lake in the Bellevue area. He and his brother, Clarence, took over the family dairy farm in 1949, later moving it to Monroe, WA.
He married Martha Anderson in October 1958. Oliver and Martha enjoyed a rich life together raising their daughters, Lori and Marilyn, working together on the dairy farm in Monroe, caring for their animals and raising crops.
Oliver married Lois Kazee in August, 1982. Oliver and Lois later sold the Monroe farm and moved to Moses Lake, where they lived until 1990 when they moved to Spokane. In 2006, they moved to Yakima.
Oliver is survived by his wife, Lois Nelson; children Steve and Lori Hall of Woodinville, Wa Steve and Marilyn Youngren of Stanwood, Wa: six grandchildren; siblings, Clarence Nelson of Montana, and Phil and Mary Nelson of Monroe.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Langevin Mussetter Funeral Home. A Funeral Service is planned for 1 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2012 at Langevin Mussetter Funeral Home. There will also be a Funeral Service at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Sunset Hills Chapel and Memorial Park located at 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA. Burial will follow the funeral service.
