Norman Pulliam Obituary

PULLIAM, Norman Entered into eternal rest on November 18, 2007, Norman "Bud" Pulliam, 84, husband of Margaret Glidewell Pulliam of Johns Island, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Pulliam are invited to attend the funeral service of the former Wednesday at one o'clock in St. Johns Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in St. Johns Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Tuesday evening from five to seven o'clock. Mr. Pulliam was born in Elbert County, Georgia on May 23, 1923, the son of Joe J. Pulliam, Sr. and Etta Mae Norman Pulliam. He served in the Navy during World War II. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Newberry College and was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, Johns Island, SC. For many years he was the manager of Rhodes Furniture Company in Charleston; he also served 25 years on the board of the St. Johns Water Company. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Terry Van Houten and husband, Mark of Johns Island; one brother, Joe Pulliam of Grovetown, George; two sisters, Betty West of Elberton, Georgia and Barbara Ayers of Bowman, Georgia; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Johns Episcopal Church, 3673 Maybank Hwy., Johns Island, SC 29455. Visit our guestbook at www.charleston.net/deaths.
