Norman Harris Obituary

Norman Lloyd (Jackie) Harris ST. MARYS, GA - Norman Lloyd (Jackie) Harris entered into his heavenly home on the evening of August 4, 2021. Norman was born April 16, 1932, in St Stephens, SC, to the late Johnny L Harris & Pauline Meredith Harris, He spent most of his life in Charleston and Ladson, SC. He was a Korean War Veteran, Retired Federal Employee and retired owner of Harris Timber Company. He married Myrna Faith Fabian on July 19, 1953. They had a long and happy marriage of 68 years. He loved his family greatly. Surviving along with his wife are his birth children, Bonnie Rogers (John) & Donald Harris (Kathy). His children of the heart, Ed & Mary Jackson, and Sandy & David Rayson. Grandchildren, John Rogers (Ann Marie), Misty Frick (Mike), Lindsay Stone (Kelly) and Danny Weigand. Six great-grandchildren: Kevan Bogeart, Rhianon Bogeart, Sean Rogers, Alex Rogers, Benny Tresfgar, & JT Frick. A special niece, Melissa Dalton (Clark), special cousins, Judy Young (Dennis) and Delores Lopstieck (Ed). Numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held First Baptist Church, Kingsland, GA on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 1:30 pm with Rev. Brian Parker officiating. Visitation will be 30 min. prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA. Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
