Norman Barnes Obituary

BARNES, Norman EARLY BRANCH, SC - Mr. Norman Tanzle Barnes, 57, of Salkehatchie Road in Early Branch, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Hampton Regional Medical Center. Born January 27, 1950 in Colleton County, he was the son of the late Tanzle McKenzie Barnes and Carrie Lee Kling Barnes. He had worked in the construction field, was also a security guard and loved the sports of fishing and hunting. He is survived by six brothers: Kelly Barnes and Tanzel Barnes, Jr, both of Early Branch, Alfred Barnes of Augusta, GA, Wesley Barnes and Louis J. Barnes, both of Houma, LA, Bernard Barnes of Raeford, NC; 5 sisters: Ann Isner of Tremont, PA, Adell Gray of Grays, SC, Rose Mary Sauls of Callahan, FL, Sheryl DeLoach of Varnville and Karon Barnes of Early Branch. There is a special friend, Linda Pellum of Early Branch as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM in the Deep Branch Baptist Church Cemetery near Varnville, conducted by Rev. Barney Tuten and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 PM on Tuesday evening and prior to the service on Wednesday.
