Norma Hall Obituary

Norma Cunningham Hall N. Charleston - Norma Cunningham Hall, 90, of North Charleston, wife of the late William J. Hall, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 10, 2017. A private service was held in her honor with a burial at Carolina Memorial Park. Norma was born October 13, 1926, in Miami, Oklahoma, the eldest of eight children of the late Charles Jack Cunningham and Freda Elmina Pace Cunningham. Norma was best known for her strong faith in God, her ability to pray, and her deep love of family. Nothing pleased her more than to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grands. Norma was an avid quilter belonging to a local quilting guild for many years where completed pieces were donated to community children's hospitals. She also enjoyed creating these beautiful quilts or crocheted afghans to give to family and loved ones on special occasions. Norma was known as the expert baker in the family often donating her family favorite's of coconut creme pie and carrot cakes to family gatherings and church functions. Norma pretended to be the straight laced part of the Bill and Norma team where Bill was the one making jokes at every opportunity just to lighten a moment or bring laughter. Norma often surprised everyone with a traight-faced comeback that sent listeners to a good belly-laugh. Norma is survived by her son, Stan Hall (Reba) of North Charleston; daughter, Debra Conley (Jim) of North Charleston; and son Kevin Hall (Teece) of Summerville; five grandchildren, Lee Hall (Kerri), David Partridge (Ali), Chelsea Blevins (Stephen), Brianna Hall, and Lyndsay Hall; five great-grandchildren, Livi, Logan, Gabriella, Will, Lucas, and Tripp who is on the way; four brothers, Jack Cunningham, Jim Cunningham, Wayne Cunningham and Walter Cunningham; and two sisters, Mary Lou Stevens and Kay Brunson. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, SC 29401. A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com. Every event I remember with Aunt Norma included cheerfulness and love - and crocheting! She was a dear person, and we all knew she loved us and prayed for us. What a blessing she was to us all!
