Mr. and Mrs. Williams,

I had the priviledge of meeting Norbett when I worked at Burke High School. Norbett reminded me so much of myself when I was a student at Burke, always the one cutting up in class and as well as in the halls. Norbett had a sense of humor that whenever he was in your presence, you were sure to leave laughing. I ran into Norbett about two weeks ago on King Street (Downtown) and was happy to hear that he was playing football for the Fire Cats with Urie Smalls and that they had just won the championship. The three of us had the opportunity to laugh for at least 45 minutes. I am glad to have had that opportunity to see Norbett again, not knowing it was going to be my last. Norbett's infectuous smile and sense of humor will alway remain with us. May the comfort of God strengthen and sustain you during this tragic time in your lives. Look to Jesus and He will carry you through.

Know that Norbett is in and better and safer place with our LORD. He is smiling down on you all. Waiting on the day where you all be together again. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Just remember his beautiful smile and the way he made us all laugh.

I met Norbett while working part time with Ms. Maybell at Hamby Catering. From the time that I met him he was always a sweet and generous young man. He would keep us laughing all day long while we worked. It was always a joy for me to know that he would be at work on Thursdays through Sundays because he always seemed to make the days go by faster. He made my days at work joyful. Norbett also played football with my husband Booker for a while. I would see him at the games, and no matter where I saw him he always had a smile on his face. He would always greet me with a smile. We used to have a lot of fun joking around because we also shared the same birthday. To Ms. Maybell and family may God bless you all. I want you all to know that you have my deepest sympathy.

I send my prays to your family. Norbett and I attended Burke High School together. I enjoy him in some of my classes. He was a Football Star. He enjoy attending Burke with all of his friends. Norbett had a lot of school spirit inside of him. He was a joker when he see your down. I know he kept me laughing out of my seat, but when it was time to be serious he was #1. Teachers enjoy him as soon as he step foot in class. Norbett was a popular person at school and at heart. We lost a friend, son, football star, boyfriend, brother, classmate, school spirit, and a loving person. You will sadly be miss but never forgotten.
