Nona Richardson Obituary

Nona Richardson CONWAY, SC - Nona Lee James Richardson, age 87, wife of the late Marvin LeGrande Richardson, went home to be with Jesus on Mother's Day, May 12, 2013. Born in the Jordanville Community of Horry County, she was the oldest of eight children of Pearlie and Annie Capps James. In addition to her husband and parents, Nona was predeceased by her brother Robert James of Conway and sister, Lorraine Eldridge of Belmont, NC. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Feder (Alphie) Hudson of Hudson Mill (Colleton County), Diane (Robert Luke) Williamson and Theresa (Greg) Hall both of Conway, SC. Nona is also survived by three brothers Harry (Elizabeth) James of Socastee, Earl (Dollie) James and Dale (Judy) James both of Conway and two sisters, Pearline (Howard) Beverly and Elizabeth Cannon both of Conway. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 53 years, The Jamie Lewis Sunday School Class and The Maude Snider Circle. Nona, along with her husband, was the Owner and Operator of The Conway Bakery and Restaurant. She retired from the Horry County School District. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Conway with Rev. Tommy Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church Women's Missionary Union, or the Sewing Ministry, c/o First Baptist Church, 603 Elm Street, Conway, SC 29526 or C.A.P.
