Nolan Boles Obituary

Nolan David Boles RALEIGH, NC - Nolan David Boles, 54, of Raleigh, NC, passed peacefully at home on March 18, 2023, with his wife by his side. Nolan was born on May 23, 1968, in Charleston, SC, to the late Nolan Albert Boles and Janice Walsh Boles. He graduated from First Baptist High School and received his Associate in Science from Wake Tech with honors. As a child, he was an avid reader, which included the complete set of Encyclopedia Britannica. He went on to read the entire Bible, and had amassed a collection of approximately 15,000 books. He was a constant learner and always strove to increase his knowledge base. Nolan was the fixer of all things mechanical and had extensive knowledge of carpentry. Professionally, he was a valued employee at NetApp as technical support engineer for data storage and management. He was a very dedicated team member who was always willing to work extra hours to help his team provide technical solutions to their customers globally. Most importantly, Nolan was an extraordinarily devoted husband and father. Family was his main priority, as he spent most of his non-working time with his wife and son. He demonstrated these same characteristics as a fiercely loyal friend. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lee (Murphy) Boles; son, Nolan Ross Boles; mother, Janice Walsh Boles; sister, Lisa Boles DeLeon; sister, Kelly Boles Braswell (Philip); 6 nieces; 5 nephews; and several beloved in-laws. He is predeceased by his father, Nolan Albert Boles. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service.
