Noah Shields Obituary

Noah Shields SUMMERVILLE - Noah Geoffrey Shields, age 14, of Summerville, SC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was born in Chattanooga TN on April 9th, 1998 to Greg Shields and Jeana Bible. He enjoyed playing video games and swimming. He loved baseball and was a Red Sox fan. Noah attended River Oaks Middle School and was a star student. He was Student Ambassador for the District School Board. He also played trumpet in the school band. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol ROTC. Noah is survived by his father: William Gregory Shields of Summerville, SC; mother: Jeana Shields of Summerville SC; step-mother: Stacie Shields of Summerville, SC; sisters: Lauren Shields and Ashleigh Lomenick of Summerville, SC; grandparents: Gary and Doretta Shields of Chattanooga TN, and Lynn Bible of Chattanooga TN; and numerous other family members. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 28th 2012 at River Bluff Church, 5421 River Bluff Parkway North Charleston, SC 29420. Pastors of River Bluff Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Noah Shields to the Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, SC 29401. My daughter was friends with Noah and just by the stories she has told me about Noah I feel like I knew him. We met Noah through our love of racing that his father,Greg, shared...Greg would bring the kids to various tracks and they enjoyed hanging out & spending time with their Dad,as well as playing video games & watching movies in our "toter-home"...Typical,wonderful childhood stuff...Great memories were made & that is what will bring Greg and family through this difficult time... Noah was an amazing friend to me. He was the one that taught me how to play my trumpet last year, without him I'd be clueless on how to play.
