Nina Ritter Obituary

Nina Mathews Ritter SUMMERVILLE - Nina Mathews Ritter, 95, of Summerville, widow of Robert Harrold Ritter, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at The Village of Summerville. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 1:30 PM until the hour of service at Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Avenue, Summerville. Memorial Services will at 2:30 PM. Nina was born on May 29, 1920 in Smithville, GA daughter of the late Roscoe Toombs Mathews and Annie Elizabeth (Weaver) Mathews. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and former member of Summerville Garden Club. Nina was an administrative assistant for Coastal Center. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church. Surviving are: one son: Robert Harrold Ritter, Jr. and his wife Mikie of Waco, TX; two daughters: Susan R. Worthy and her husband Fred of Summerville, SC and Mary Ritter and her husband William Petz of Ashville, NC; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth M. Jones and Agnes M. Batson and her grandson, Michael James Worthy. The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the staff of AllCare Living Service, Hospice of Charleston, and The Village at Summerville, especially the loving professionals in Health Care 2. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summerville Baptist Church, "Acts 1:8" or "Building Fund", 417 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483 or The Village at Summerville, "Mother's Day Fund", 201 West 9th North Street, Summerville, SC 29483.
