Nell Rhodes Ebener MT. PLEASANT - Nell Rhodes Ebener, 95, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Monday, January 18, 2016. She was born on Friday, February 6, 1920 in Hartwell, GA to the late Mrs. Ola Rhodes and the late Mr. Walter R. Rhodes. Nell graduated the nursing program at Rutherford Hospital, Rutherford, NC in 1941 with an RN degree. She married Warren R. Ebener on September 14th, 1942, they had 4 children and resided in West Columbia for over forty years. Nell enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and visiting friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a tireless worker and retired at the age of 70 but continued to stay active with her church and family. She never acquired significant material wealth but always felt blessed to be part of a wonderful family. She adored her grandchildren and spend as much time with them as possible. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by one daughter, Sheryl E Goltra DMD (David D. Goltra, MD), of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two sons, Warren Robinson Ebener, Jr. (Debbie), of Cameron, SC, and Richard Rhodes Ebener, of Yarraville, Australia; four grandchildren, Lisa M. Sparks, of Columbia, SC, David W. Goltra (Lindsay), of San Francisco, CA, Leslie F. Goltra, of Salt Lake City, UT, and Michael C. Goltra, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two-great grandchildren, Wilson R. Sparks and Harrison R. Sparks; six nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. She was predeceased by her loving parents; spouse, Warren Robinson Ebener, Sr., and one daughter, Sandra Ebener Morris. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a service and Entombment to follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
