Neil Smith Obituary

Neil Smith N. CHARLESTON - Neil Travis Smith was born January 18, 1972 in North Charleston, South Carolina to Silas Smith (deceased) and Magdaline Harper. He was preceded in death by his father, Silas Smith and stepfather, Johnny Harper. Neil was joined in Holy matrimony to Rhonda Seabrook-Smith on January 18, 2008. Neil was educated in Charleston and Dorchester County School Districts. He loved to do landscaping, which he did until his health started failing. He loved cooking and baking for his family, listening to reggae music, and dancing. He recently joined Charity Missionary Baptist Church. Neil leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Rhonda Seabrook Smith; daughter, Bethany Elaine Smith; Mother, Magdaline Harper; siblings: Swinton Harper, Silas Smith (Juliette), Cyrus Smith, Shari Elaine Smith, Sherman Smith, Everett Smith, Spencer Smith (Sonia); mother-in-Love, Rev. Vertelle G. Seabrook; brothers-in-Love, Deacon Antonio Lamont Greene (Gelise) and Darren Shavon Greene; two grandchildren, De'mir and Aponte Grampus, Jr. "AJ"; special family members who assisted Neil: Brishawn Davis (Conroy), Octavia Greene, Jasmine Greene, Brittany Chisolm, Brazil Carr, Paul Green, Raven Greene, Natrawn Maxwell, Markita Carr, J. Travis "Charlie" Wright, Dominique "Loose" Sanders, Paul "PJ" Green, Kimora Sanders, His daily mini helpers; Skylar Walton, Amir Walton, Shanelle "Nellie" Davis and Jermani Green. Special friends, Rob Patrick, Mr. Carter, Lakisha Elliott, and Deacon Tim Griffin. The Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, 11:00 AM, at Charity Missionary Baptist Church 1544 E. Montague Ave., N. Charleston, SC.
