Neal George Miller SUMMERVILLE - Neal George Miller, 86, of Summerville, SC, husband of Eileen (Minklein) Miller for 47 years, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Hospice of Charleston. Friends and family may call at Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Road, Summerville, on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, from 1 o'clock until hour of service. Funeral services will begin at 2 o'clock PM. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Neal was born on August 25, 1928, in West Haven, CT, son of the late Cornelius Miller and Ruth (Nero) Miller. He retired in 1997 from Anchor Swan, Inc., in Bucyrus, OH, where he was a Senior Development Engineer. Neal had a deep appreciation for God's creation and enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and sports, especially New England teams and Ohio State. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family. Neal loved studying God's Word and spending time with his church family. He was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church and also attended First Baptist Church of Jedburg. Surviving in addition to his wife, Eileen, are seven children, Diane Smith (George) of Cheshire, CT, Neal Miller (Diane) of Middlebury, CT, Linda Miller of Naugatuck, CT, Anthony Miller of Buffalo, NY, Andrew Miller of Buffalo, NY, Adam Miller (Nancy) of Upper Arlington, OH and Caroline Phares (James) of Morgantown, WV; seven grandchildren, Crystal (Eric), Christopher, Lisa (Mike), Brooke, Katie, Hayden and Tyler; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson, Neal John Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Fort Baptist Church, Community Impact For Christ "CIFC", 10505 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
